You just can't talk about difficulties with some. They don't want to deal.

There wouldn't be anywhere near as much denial if Salisbury didn't exist in an information vacuum. The paper with their agenda supports the powers that be and their propaganda. The downtown crowd has a very narrowed perspective due to the lack of information. Some people downtown see what's going on. They know they are being sold a bill of goods. It's killing the city. Doing a lot of damage. Salisbury is on a terminal downslide because of this.

That is the way it is. Add to this closed information society is the fact that people who pay attention to the city access channel and watch the city council meetings are sure to see back patting pablum from the city council and their presenters. You would come to believe that everything is just great. I think even the city council believes this. They have no other sources of information. When people hang out only in the downtown area they are liable to hear the same claptrap from their friends. Then when someone cracks open the door and looks out, people say oh no not here. It's like looking only at one or two channels on TV and hearing the same propaganda.
Luckily many dwell in the city, not living in the historic preservation area, downtown, or the country club who see outside the pablum. They are not watching the same channel or listening to the same blather. They are outside the closed information society.
