Is Fibrant using its I.T. personnel to snoop out which sites Fibrant customers are surfing? Are they snooping out employees of the City of Salisbury who are entering this forum? The Rowan Free Press? Or

These questions pose a growing concern for Salisbury employees, whose loyalty to the 'company store' will be tested as those one-year "non-contracts" come up for renewal later this fall. Should underpaid, under-appreciated employees continue to pay for overpriced, good-when-it-works internet service, when more competitively priced, works-all-the-time-just-not-as-fast internet service is available?

With alternative internet service providers, one need not worry about Big Brother snooping into one's internet surfing habits, or telephone call list, or TV channels watched. And the alternative providers are not involved in the political fenagling, in a town that pays its starting 4-year degreed cops $30,000 per year, while offering 20 year olds with an associates degree $42,000 to install mediocre, overpriced internet service at customer homes.

It's worth thinking about, after you get home, and take of the obligatory uniform . . . and matching logo hat that the boss makes you wear. Conformity is expected, or else!
